A friend has asked this question.

Could you recommend a good book on living aboard med/carib?

Any suggestions? Specifically for living aboard in Med/Caribean. Not so much of a "sell up and sail" type book.

Tough one

Ive just started Family Aweigh which I think was written by the father of a formite, seems well written and covers 3 years of med cruising. Only just started it but a 97p on kindle I probably can't go far wrong.

Lots of sailing too either the Caribbean or med and a bit of liveaboard but I can't think of many cruising / liveaboard only books. I have recently read Days of Déjà vu which is good value for money and covers the authors home build, sail from SA to the Caribbean and into the Pacific onto Australia over many years, well written and a good read, again on kindle.

More mainstream is Three ways to capsize a boat by Chris Stewart of Driving over Lemons fame. He spends a summer sailing a cornish crabber around the med, not very taxing but entertaining.
