Need a boat to do 3 things

1) some gentle ice breaking in the North West Passage in February.

2) acting as hurricane monitoring vessel by chasing hurricanes and taking general weather readings

3) launch a bid on the world speed record for a sailing boat.

Would an Anderson 22 be suitable?

When the Scots kick the Brits out of Scotland, you might find a Trident sub which could do the job? :D

Yes.

But only if you remove the outboard from the well and put the well plug in! :D

Old hat. It's already done those. Loadsa times. You need to pick something else. Once you find an alternative boat you can rate it as a percentage of the ideal where Anderson 22 = 100.

Slight flaw in your maths there old chap. Setting the Anderson 22 at 100 and then scoring other boats out of 100 suggests that another boat might equal the score. So maybe set the Anderson at 110.
