I need to drastically improve the ventilation in my forecabin. It currently has an old tannoy type vent which doesn't seem to do much. Previous threads on this subject aren't positive about solar powered ones, so can anybody suggest a high flow vent? It has to go in the forward hatch so has to be low enough for the genoa to pass over it. Don't mind something that I can screw down when at sea. Anybody had any experience of these? http://www.air-onlyventilators.com

They sell them on ebay as well as direct.

thanks

Tony

I have a Goiot ventilator in the main cabin hatch, and I have bought another for the forecabin. I havent seen any leaks in 2 years, but there is a bung that comes with it for use at sea. They are very low and domd, so little chance of snagging the genny I think.

Sorry but I use a Solar Vent (mushroom) Fitted to the heads, but during lay up I leave the head door open and have no musty smells or any other type of smell. I will be getting another.

Hi tony to get a through flow it may be an idea to increase the vent in the washboards or even make a winter washboard with a really big box vent in it.

Ask Colin and/or john_morris_uk about Air-Only ventilators. They helped me with correct English of Air-Only vents fitting instructions 2 years ago.
