Recession ? What recession? Photos added

Driving past the harbour in St Helier at lunchtime today my eyes were drawn to a visitor on the visiting pontoon, which necessitated a detour and park. What did I find but a shiny new SunSeeker 40 meter yacht. Awesome ..have a look on the SS website. No change from many millions, and I' m afraid I couldnt quite stop thinking about what the fuel consumption might be. Ah well, if you have to ask, as they say! Boat named Ambassador, and registered in Jersey, though I suspect she won't be here very long!

With so much choice available in that sector, its great to see the owner has chosen a British built boat. I'm sure there will be many Sunseeker employees who are thrilled with the fruits of there work and no doubt the owner will be as well. Well done to all.

Couldn't agree with that sentiment more! I confess to always trying to 'buy British' on bigger items and I think we still have a lot to be proud of - boats just one of those thing we still seem to do very well! :D

Making the most of some rare decent Jersey weather this afternoon with a spin out in st aubins bay for a picnic when we heard ambassador skipper advising departure to St Helier VTS.. Sounded like a former RN officer (well sounded like a British Airways captain actually!) who advised he had three Russian crew on board and was setting off for Caen. May be the russian crew provides the answer to the question I posed to open the thread!! Certainly one place there is no shortage of money !!! On her way to the Black Sea?

It would have been rude to not watch her on her way so we moseyed around the harbour entrance and waved her Bon voyage.

The wife Grabbed a couple of pics on her mobile phone .. when I've worked Out how to upload and post I will add it here.

This one,s 100m from my birth SoF it's little smaller, been on the mkt all year .

This year - noticed more Russians than ever and more bigger stuff.i think this end is buoyant .But really they both are quite small, even the SS new 155 will be easly dwarfed in typical bay anchorage high summer.
It's nice to see the UK builders " doing" this type of thing.
Princess too are turning thie hand to this under" Mr Louis Vuitton " having purchase ex RN dockyard in Plymouth .
Good luck to both Co,s
