There's an excellent article in an old PBO on rebuilding a Baby, which Blakes used to give away as a reprint. I can remember most of what to do with a Baby, having rebuilt one twice, and am now confronted with a Victory, which I take to be much the same but with a bigger discharge pump (?)

The advice in the PBO article was to repaint using Hammerite, and I just wonder whether this is still the best thing to do or if there is now a better type of finish available?

(Given the eye- watering price, not only of new Blake WCs but of spares, gold plating might be an idea...)

If you still have it all stripped down I would not use Hammerite as its not the same formulation that it was when that article was published, and if I was doing the rebuild I would prefer to recoat with epoxy.
I have had the "pleasure" of servicing a few in the past.
