Need a little help here, I have mostly completed my 12' 1950 marina speedboat rebuild but I've reached a bit of an impasse on the outboard. I got my hands on a '61 merc 350 40hp which is close enough to period but it has not run in a hell of a long time, after stripping the gear case I find myself in need of parts no longer available, so I need a little luck in the form of a used but servicable type 55 gear case! Anything Merc 20 to 40 horsepower from 1957 to about 1965 should have what I need.
Any help much appreciated - not too much in the way of cash though I am massively overspent on this, my first, project, but I WILL SEE IT THROUGH
