Rebranding the Mudway

How would I do it? Well kicking out all the non british would be a good start. Its getting a bit bradford ish down here.

Next we would have to tidy up, so shopping trollies would need to be banned so the chavs dont chuck them in the river an ding our props.

Then we could make pretty meadows on all of the ex landfills, instead of building houses on them

That should help.

At least, looking at the plans, our boatyard is safe at the moment!

Also being a resident of said area, I would add the following.

1. Make the 2 way road system in Chatham 1 way.

2. Build a thousand houses on Hoo Island and put the Chav's in them - but don't build a bridge just a causeway /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif For those not in the "know" Hoo Island used to belong to the RN and used as a "tip" when Chatham Dockyard was a NUCLEAR base.

3. Shoot the architect that wants to put a 22 story high rise right next door to Chatham marina so that on a clear day it can be seen from Brighton.

4. Sell off the brand new Medway Plod building for offices - I pass it almost every day and have yet to see a single plod in it, or even near it.

5. Flatten Chatham and start again.

6. Forget Strood because it's the wrong side of the Medway - realign it with Higham & Gravesend - Man of Kent/Kentish Men stuff init /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Peter.

God, that two way system really was good use of public money wasn't it! NOT! It was pointless. Im in strood, so if I come down from Gillingham or Horstead, and I want to go to medway street, im greated by a bus lane and no right turn, so you have to go through the medway tunnel now!

That high rise at chatham marina is also a great bit of engineering. Lets take a nice view along the river, and block it with thousands of tonnes of high rise concrete.

As for chavs, chuck them on Sheppy and knock down the new bridge, seen as though locals are complaining about it anyway!

Im not racist, merely pro good use of the english language i.e. when i speak to someone, I expect to be able to understand what im told back, not fell like im talking to an overseas based call centre usually situated within the Indian subcontinent.

If it looks racist and sounds racist it probably is racist

If they want to be British first and foremost - OK. if they're trying to overrule and overrun us then I'm with alb40. Weak minded Britons have got us to this present state

Fully agree - we can't wear crosses, have St Georges / St Andrews / Idependance for Yorkshire flags / Union Jacks / etc in case we upset "the minorities", we now must order a coffee "without milk", FFS we are in Britain.

Have a look at Campaign Against Political Correctness for where this stupidity is getting us.

And before anyone says so - we are currently looking at leaving the country permanantly, worked and lived abroad more than in the UK and making plans to escape.

Hmm. There is a difference between the outer loony reaches of political correctness, and objecting to someone saying:

Which strikes me as racist, whatever spin you may care to put on it.
