Out for the first sail of the year , singlehanded.
I have a TP10 tiller pilot
When out by myself I tend to use it in standby mode to just hold the tiller for me whilst I do something else.
This time ,not sure how , I moved the ram manually like I have done many times , the end popped off the pin on the tiller and it reached the limit of it's travel.

Here it stuck and operation of either the port or starboard buttons produced only a bump bump sound from within.

Images of the nut trying to re-engage the three stuck in my mind.

When out on your own there are difficulties doing too much , I used a cord to secure the tiller whilst I got fenders out etc to come back in.

Then I had an idea , I would reboot the thing by just unplugging the power and reconnecting.

To my surprise it worked and full service was resumed.

Though I would mention it in case other forumites have the same issue.

Sounds strange that cured it. The bumping sound from within sounds like the notched drive belt slipping I went through several when had a TP10. The belt stretched then jumped notches.
