Really silly question about bum bags

I suspect I'm in for it here but this is a serious(ish) question. Having just got a PLB, and I carry a small h/h VHF or mobile phone when going to and from the boat - the question is, where to put it all! A grab bag is no good as the chances of needing the gear are when I fall in. The items are small and I wondered if anyone had solved this problem with a natty mesh bag that goes on the lifejacket belt?

I put my HH VHF in an aquapak and hang it from the harness point on the LJ. The PLB could go in a camera bag/ pouch on the belt of the LJ.

A handy website to look at is 'Outboard' (sorry computer numpty can't do links) They sell gear to the surfing crowd, waterproof bags etc: No connection, but I found some Dry Bags and a w/p bumbag from them quite useful. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If you are looking for bum bags from the USA I dont think you will find any, as over there they are called 'Fanny packs'...... yes really! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yes I have noticed the Brits wear their bum bags at the back and the Americans wear their Fanny bags at the front.
Is it cultural, sexual or what?????
