So, to that end, these toaster rack thingy's that go on a gas ring. Are they anygood? I like my toast a nice even golden colour.......

Not I suspect if you like it a nice even golden colour.

Nor are any of the grills in boat or camping cookers that I've come across.

Toast at home... porridge on the boat. Unless some else is cooking eggs bacon and fried bread.

It does work but you have to keep moving the bread around to get an even toasting, leave it alone & you will get part burnt & part untoasted.

We do ours in a dry frying pan, seems to work fine.

get out dry frying pan....



Heat...



Apply slice of bread of your choice.........




Try it!................


(Then buy gadget to gently rust unused in locker.....

Depends on the layout of your galley. Our new boat does not have a grill and I bought one to try. It did a decent job of making the toast, but it radiates so much heat that I became concerned about scorching the door of the locker behind the hob.

We use a gas blow lamp in the workshop! Or the diesel space heater during the winter. Slice of toast in five seconds!
