Bar vs Forum:
In the bar it's okay to say JFRO you W*****. In the forum you will get moderated.
In the bar you are who you really are. In the forum you can be anonamous.
In the bar you can duck for cover when a member that is boring enough to put a glass eye to sleep arrives. In the forum you can make post after post after post and you probably believe that other members are happy reading your drivel.
In the bar you can flash your cash by buying me a beer. In the forum you're all talk.
In the bar I can give you the DILLIGAF look. On the forum you'll never know the difference.
In the bar you can show me how to do something. In the forum your command of the english language must be exception to make your explaintions clear to me.

When you first arrive here you can fantasize about amazing amazonian sailing women of French extraction with a sense of humour AND who can caulk a boat - until you wake up to profiles and bio's and find out that Mirelle is a bloke!

Dear Edith,

We old ladies have to stick together!

Now, the real problem with the virtual yacht club is that there is nowhere to moor the dinghy or stow the oars!
