there are some really sad muppets out there and jonny your one of em!!!!

if you really want to race then youve got one

a sealine 365 with 2 x 200s against my v40 no problem
in fact i give you a chance
1) either I only use one engine!!
OR

2) I use both engines in reverse!!

THE BOAT IN FRONT WILL BE A PRINCESS
THE BOAT BEHIND WILL BE SURROUNDED BY ITS OWN CLOULD OF 200S SMOKE

I'll bring my Wetline dingy with a 4hp merc - by the time they :-
- turn on the engine room blowers
- start the engines
- let the engines warm up
- undo all the ropes and springs
- cast off and get to the start line
- pour a couple of G&T's
- turn on the Plotter
- light the fridge
- wave goodbye to the masses on the pontoon

I'll have won the bleeding race .............

Opppppps with a V40 the transom is so low that the water will pour in and fill er up and the boat will sink - win the race to the bottom ....

Well that would ruin the fun, would'nt it. We've never had a race on here in all the years I've been here.. Mind you racing cruising boats is a bit naff. I mean, you get going. And thats it. It just goes at whatever speed. Cant do much to catch up. I know. Lets make it more interesting and have the race round the marina block. Now this should test there skills better and it will show up the raggies with the big bloke doing it backwards /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Hi

Stop being sad!!! it cheapens both the pastime of boating and boats to here this talk of a mad race- it reminds me of something similar to a 60's caper movie big boys with big toys out to prove a point (smiley face insertion).

And anyway none of your boats have what it takes to race! youd spill your drinks before you got out of the marina and your freestanding barbecues and garden furniture would fall over.
