I went out to the boat today to re-sealing my 4 stanchion bases.

This is how it went................

There's always another day. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You got a long way ....

you were supposed to be reSEALing ... not reSAILing ... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

You Do Let Yourself In For It...

Still not getting enough tension on the foresail halyard I see......

Worth sweating it up that little bit extra.

What an excellent way of getting the sealant to float all the way round the stanchions. It would have been a really hard job to get the boat leaning over like that while on its mooring.... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The Only Sweating I\'ll Be Doing

Is rowing back to shore.
I've grown quite fond of the gentle curve of the luff. The way the winds were today ultimate sail set wasn't an issue. From zero to F4 in seconds and it wasn't just veering. It was spinning.

Why do I think that that wee boat is giving more bangs per buck and less cost per mile than many on 'ere then?
Is that the same boat that starred in the recent movie ''Rendezvous at ferry webcam?'' /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Nope. I just shoot in program mode and diddle in P/Shop a bit. These pics were very close, as shot. I sometime sharpen a little after resizing, but the built in sharpening is a bit fierce so there's not much latitude there.

Yes, and I still haven't been paid. TCM tried to claim on my Death Benefit by making out I'd gone missing, but I'd only gone off to dry off me keks.

I don't get to make passages and overnight on her, but like you say she still doesn't owe me more than £2K and about £12 a week all-in to moor 150 metres from the front door.
You don't get much better value these days.

Nice pics as all ways. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
But is that a left handed winch I spotted. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
O and was the trip just to get rid of all the drainage you dug up this morning. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yep. Good spot. My winches are handed, which makes for really easy working as you just lead the sheet outboard of the drum whichever side you're at which ever way you're facing. As you can see I cross sheet the jib and have a jamming cleat the same on each side so I just jam it off. You can get a bit more tension by sweating on the run across the cockpit.

Did you spot my rubber snake?
