re - galvanising in Tyneside

I have to re galvanise an anchor chain. There is a local company but it has a
minimum order.

I wonder if there is a local yottie with a galvanising job needed where we may
combine the jobs and get a saving?

I dealt with a company called Cumbria Galvanising about 5 years ago. Not sure if he's still in business but he was actually from the north East. He'd just go round collecting stuff until there was enough to make it worthwhile going to the galvanisers, then he'd drop it all back off with each customer and start again. If he's not listed, there may be other companies that work the same way? Worth phoning round locally in case.

I propose to deal with 'Birtley Galvanising'. I have the ability to deliver and collect our items. One local skipper has shown interest but even with him I'm not sure we are up to the minimum order yet, so more skippers may pile in.
