get the anchor stotblasted then take to a steel fabricator who will send ot off for the new plating. trailer builder or somebody who builds iron railings etc.
Galvanisers usually do jobs by weight and an anchor is likely to be well below the minimum so it will pay to scout around for someone who will include your anchor in a load. I had a small job done via a local trailer manufacturer.
Edit: sorry pampas I'm sure your post was not there when i started.
Shot blasting may not be necessary unless badly corroded as the galvanisers pickle things in sulphuric acid first anyway.
My question. How does one carry the frigging thing and all that chain. I'm a solitary wench with a boat - a total beginner - and I can't fathom for the life of my how I'm going to fit it all in my bike basket.
I was just about to gallantly offer to help but don't expect to be visiting japan in the next few days.
Where to get galvanising done? Hayling Trailers, Hayling Island; they don't do it themselves but assemble a batch and send it to a place near London. I had a new mastep galvanised through them about 6 years ago and was very happy with the service and price.

Galvanisers in Glasgow took a bagful of odds and sods from me and did the lot for a few quid. Chain-plates, gammon-iron, gudgeons and pintles.
They sand-blasted everything first as there was a fair amount of paint there.
As I remember it the total cost was about £30 above board.
