We manufacture these and a whole range of other diesel and gas engines mostly above 2000BHP.
The UK head office is in Sevenoaks and if anyone wants to buy a couple just drop me a mail.
Take a look on Wartsila.com

I can't find a price list or online shop on the website. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Cripes!

Only 102 rpm. I'd like to wind it up to 2000rpm, see what happens. :-)

They are 2 strokes but they have a single overhead valve per pot. Anyone know how the inlet/exhaust is done on these engines? I remeber studying a bit on this at univ, but I've forgotten now

I assume they must be assembled at the shipyard. You can't exactly fit them on a lorry?

You mighht find they are scavenge blown, with inlet ports in the liners, uncovered by the pistons, after the exhaust valve has opened, to scavenge the cylinders of burnt gases and refill with air, before the piston starts to rise and re-covers the inlet ports or of course it could be the other way round, with exhaust ports at the bottom of the cylinder andinlet valve on top, but this is not the normal way. GMC two stroke diesels operate the same way as previous.

Re: How much S*****N?

Nah thats only a bottle an hour, well per engine that might start to work but they will want a reduced price for a bulk load.

Oh well one day maybe.
