Fairweather's decks are covered with 30 year old, Chrome on Brass/Bronze fittings. Unfortuately all looking a bit worse for ware.

Does any one have experience of re-chroming to a suitable spec.? Or contacts?

Thanks Nick

Try the Yellow pages under 'Plating' but chrome platers are few and far between nowadays due to H & S regs. Friends have had their winches rechromed locally by someone who renovates old car bits and pieces - about 25% the price quoted by Lewmar!

Chromax in Gosport, Fareham Electro Plating, Hampshire electroplating in southampton.

I used Fareham for my T cleats. Very good job.

The place to use apparently is the London Chroming Co. in the Old Kent Rd.
Father & son outfit being going years and apparently do a lot of Clasic Car Chrome for restorers.
Never used them but know loads who have.
