Is it possible? (I haven't had an answer from Navionics)

My phone Motorola Defy needs a re boot/factory re set and I want to re load the Navionics charts, has anyone done it?

After resetting your phone you will need to re-log into Google, it will ask you if you want to restore your phone. Answer yes and all your apps will be automatically downloaded. If not just go into the play store and reinstall. So long as you are using the same account as before you will not be charged again.

Neil - I'd be careful. If you goto the Play Store, can you find your current Navionics app there, with the same version? If you can see it, then you shouldn't have a problem; if you can't, or its a different version, you will have a problem and would need to buy again at the new version. The only alternative may be to use a local backup utility such as MyBackup Pro which may then allow you to restore the app. Bottom-line: be prepared to buy it allo pover again!

Thanks Jerry, that seems to be the case, if it doesn't appear on google play as one of your installed apps it doesn't get re installed. Another techy android experts advice and also Orange. Navionics don't upgrade their apps so they can't be reinstalled if they are too old.

As Jim King says you should log into Google - from a PC browser, not the mobile phone PlayStore app. This is rather unintuitive from Google and I didn't know it existed
Should see all your previously installed apps including Navionics and push out to Mobile from here

Worked for me twice (phone upgrade then stolen phone). MyBackupPro app helped with a lot of stuff but didnt manage the Navionics reinstall
