And now for something somewhat different. Sort of boaty related, but more from the business end than the pleasure part. Making it safer for all of us.

With regards to the elaboration of draft guidelines to the interpretation and amendments to the recreational craft directive, we would like to consolidate the current expert team with a support group composed of representatives from the industry, NBs and Stds bodies.

We are already in contacts with people in the CEN and with the Chairman of the MarED NB group. Within the MarED group, the industry may be represented and have already asked for contact details.

In the meantime you might have an idea of whom to contact to represent the Industry and give us a small support (max 1/2 day). Their support would be for free or very small contribution.

In addition, we are still looking for experts in RCD to be involved with me in the Core Team, do you guys know someone?

Anyone interested, PM me. No, not you AndrewB :)

I'm afraid that if we were to give them the view from the bloke in the cockpit, with all the logic and common sense implied, they would have to redo their homework for a large part.

And from what I've read here, most of us don't waste ink on pleasantries and polite formulations when the RCD is involved.

And besides, since when do customers'opinions matter in the boaty industry?
