New faces in the club tonight.
Group from Putney Boat Club ? and visitors from Belgium.
Well fed and watered and off to London in the morning for sightseeing trip .

...for those interested in such things last week visitors from the Thames drank the bar virtually dry....
We will always try to accomodate visitors even if it means rafting up.
A fairly simple and worth while first adventure for those who perhaps have not ventured outside the Thames before.Loads of advice on here as well.

Visitors from Belgium off round to South Dock in morning.
They tried to contact St Kats a few weeks ago not even the common courtesy of a reply.:(

Just get the money before you serve them.

It OK,we will be giving them back in their small change all those foreign coins they palmed off on us last year.Have also put two padlocks on my electricity power point. :)

What's the policy for visiting? I don't mean large groups, just an individual boat. Used to do it years ago when RCC had a reciprocal arrangement with a club I was a member of. Haven't been for years but would like to come again. Do I call someone and ask permission before setting out? Do I just arrive and hope someone will be there to direct me, and that there will be space? I want to sit OG down in the bar and educate him in the error of his ways (otherwise known as the shaft V OD debate). All this assumes that after setting out my OD doesn't explode/fall off/ catch fire/ implode/ disintegrate etc etc before arriving :D

Best to contact me or our mooring master,Gary ,with proposed dates of your adventure. Normally OK but sometimes when there is an event being held in Rochester its gets bit crowded.
We had 55 arrive boats last week. including quite few locals from up above Allington.
We are fully up and running again with full time chef and bar facilities.
Fuel 72p at the moment.
The reciprical agreements we used to have with various clubs seems to have faded away over the years.
Cannot remember the exact cost of visitor mooring but it does include water and power.
It is possible to get two courses and a pint for around £12-13 quid, even cheaper for bar meal.

We have a special dimly lit corner put aside for owners with outdrives where they can compare invoices and sob quietly while not disturbing other club members.
We also issue club bulletins so the unfortunates can read about where the club has cruised to recently.:):):)

Our Belgian visitors had bit of mishap as they left club.
Extremely low spring tide and one of them (Sealine 42 ?)touched bottom as they went through Rochester Bridge.
Not sure wether they got to South Dock or not or had to divert.
Anybody know anything ?
