Just a couple of snaps.
Some boats left on the Friday, the majority on Saturday.
Weather was reasonable, although fairly lumpy by Medway standards on the way home.
Nothing much to report really, no-one broke down or fell in, and it only rained on one day.
We were the only boat I know of who used the butterfly channel on the exit, it still seems very odd cutting that tight to the sea wall but by following that, and then the gullies on the chartplotter, we had plenty of water under us on the cut over the mudbank to #8 bouy.

RCC accommodated a fair number of visiting boats over the weekend, one occupying OG's spot on outdrives had broken down and was immobile but must have got repaired, or towed out by the time we returned. I didn't have the heart to tell OG, until now... :D

We did leave bit early, had to wash a couple of lumps of mud off the swim platform.
Did leave the heater on for most of the weekend.
Thought the bar prices in the club at Conyer were a tiny weeny bit not very cheap.:(

A boat with outdrives broken down ? .......Are you sure.?
Am constantly told just how reliable and trouble free they are by the people who have them, surely they could not be deluding themselves and in for a rude and somewhat expensive awakening at some point in the future :)
Rumour is that poor old Steve is still stuck up in Essex with O*******e problems.

A bit early? I think everyone had to wash the mud off their swim platforms after you'd churned your way out. I think you were actually underway in that shot :D
Still, as promised, you were home and dry before we'd made the bridge!

Now you say it like that, I'm not so sure. But, I think that's right...
Really hope he gets it sorted, sold and gets something else. I still shudder when thinking back to what we went through, the current boating experience isn't even on the same scale. Hopefully he'll also get to experience some good times at some point if he sticks with boating afterwards.

Just hope is does not put Steve off boating before he has had a chance to enjoy time on the water, know his wife has totally been put off by the entire experience, both regards the expence and number of times boat has not made it to various destinations.Rumours that the previous owners got rid of the boat due to drive problems have surfaced.
Suspect the usual fix is to dump the problem on an unsuspecting new boater only able to afford something with old outdrives.
A far more difficult task to achieve with a more experienced boater , once bitten twice shy and all that but you only have to read the latest crop appearing on MoBo Chat.

Including John Boyle....he seems to get about a bit with those pesky unreliable outdrives :)

Had no idea that his V39 was nearly 40 years old and could be bought for around 25K ,
Blimey will start searching the brokers right now for one.:)

Nothing like changing the criteria :D

According to your good self all outdrives are the work of the devil and unreliable. So John's should drop off or implode well before his trip is over........

Two of OG's least favourite things......a Sealine on outdrives was used to zoom around the UK.....utter madness ;)

Now I always fort the V39 was a Princess so at least the ride would have been comfortable and it would go in straight line ?
