In couple of weeks time .
Then various MoBos off to various different destinations depending on inclinations.
Suggestions where my boat should be heading over next day or so.
No epic trips no night clubs and definately no anchoring. :(.
Preferably marinas/ boatyards/ clubs with food and beverages nearbye and most vital of all shorepower. :)
......................and yes we know its busy.

We Mudwayites are always prepared to endure the wastelands of the east coast and look forward to demonstrating our superior navigating and boat handling skills to those unfortunate enough not to live in the nicer parts of the South East.
We feel sure that somewhere up there will be the standards of civilisation we take for granted on our side of the water. :)
Does one need any special injections etc. ?

Foxes Marina
Woolverstone Marina
Suffolk Yacht Harbour
Shotley Marina
Woodbridge Marina
Lowestoft Haven Marina
Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Marina
Bradwell Marina
Burnham Yacht Harbour
Essex Marina
Fambridge Marina
Heybridge Basin
Brightlingsea Marina

I may have forgotten a few, but these will meet your criteria.

Be careful before going into Neptune marina Ipswich. I have a 31 ft boat. The robbing bar stewards charged me £ 76-00 for 2 nights.
I asked why it had gone fron a high £32-60 per night last year to £ 38-00 this year & the answer was " BREXIT". I asked WTF that had to do with it & they said that were getting lots more visitors & often got full, so could up the charges.
Nice people.
Shotley was £ 28-60 per night & at least I could get a decent, socially distanced, pint when I wanted one with a nice view of the river Orwell, Stour junction. In ipswich I had to get the bike & ride to a pub with a beer garden. Suitably seated I looked at the back of a warehouse for half an hour. Still, better than anchoring up a muddy creek & looking at a b..y grassy bank all day.

Once North of the glorious Thames estuary it's a barren, uncivilised wasteland, not fit for boating or sailing. Pass the word around to your boating buddies and especially to anyone further South to avoid the East Coast at all costs.

The Haven is better than Neptune, IMO. You can watch the waterfront from a respectable distance, rather then having them all leering into your boat.

For a view, Shotley does take some beating though.

All being noted to produce as evidence later :)

"I thought all these MoBos had big noisy generators, so they don't need shorepower. "

Unfortunately my gin palace does does not have a generator, however we have found that you can annoy just as many people by playing irritating and repetitive rap music/ country and western/ torch music loudly over the flybridge speakers until the early hours. !

So then are we going to get reports on East Coast later, after your visit, of them Rowdy Medway bunch of Sisys making mayhem and being somewhat noisy in the quiet of an East Coast marina; maybe perhaps bringing with them most of their Drink, Tobaco, food supplies etc and not adding to the local 'spend' very much ?

Wow that will enliven the 'East Coast' thread somewhat

I can envisiage that them Martello Towers will be taken over by the EC Malitia to keep a watch out for 'hostile craft' approaching; guess that Felixstowe Ferry will start using Bulldozers to make the entrance even more difficult than it was, and Uncharted as well; that will keep them Chatham Kent Types at bay, methinks ?

Concerto in #5 missed out Titchmarsh, with the chance to visit the Walton Backwaters on the way. Titchmarsh has power with a card system and if the RCC are as disreputable as I imagine them to be they may even find the berth-holder has left some money in the socket.

.....................did risk venturing into Titchmarsh a few years ago.
Abiding memory of two things, the young ladies having a Stagette night in the barge at end of pontoon, their use of the HOT TUB causing the entire pontoon to lose its power overnight
..............and some visitors who came to see us getting a parking ticket in a notorious carpark in Clacton for a 5 min overstay.
The court case is still on going 3 years later. We are due in court in 2022.
Do still have a card with about £ 3.00 worth of power on it. We shall return.
Such are the delights of Essex. :)

After that I don’t see how you could keep away.

You have‼️

The Walton Backwaters, with plenty of buoys in the Walton Channel or if you want a marina - Titchmarsh.

In easy reach of the delights Walton Town and remaining afloat at all states of the tide, you have the completely refurbished - Walton Yacht Haven (fondly known as the Pond by the Locals) and it’s new club house with restaurant.

If required, it is any ease walk up to Walton Railway with it’s hourly service to Liverpool Street.

Am I biased - well I do keep our boat there.

Seem to recall that the RCC spent a couple of days with us a year or 2 back.

Oh yes, the entrance past Stone Point into Walton Channel appears to be more straight forward than in previous years.

If you want the latest chartlet, please PM me.

Incidentally and a slight thread drift, what’s the current situation with the Easy Coast haunts -
Burnham, Bradwell, Brightlingsea, West Mersey, Tollesbury, Shotley, SYH, Woolverstone, RHYC, Ipswich and possibly Woodbridge with Ramsholt on the way up the Deben?
I ask as this weekend five or six boats will be leaving the Medway together for a small Easy Coast trip - sort of annual club event and it would be much preferred if we can actually get into some of these places as a group. In view of the staycation message etc. You understand.
