Hi all
Looking for sum advice, our auto pilot will not engage, goes to auto release , checked fuse and power to course computer all ok, on testing for power on autopilot terminals, nothing, when engaging autopilot on motor terminals, if I disconnect auto pilot motor from course computer and connect to a separate 24v supply to see if the motor energies, will this work to see if its the course computer or autopilot pump, as we are half way through our holiday , not a problem to carry on without ,just trying to ascertain problem so when back on home berth can be fixed , the rudder reference is working ok on the st600 when wheel turning

Yes. It is just a pump. It will run one way and if you reverse the polarity it will run the other way.

I would be brief. You don't want to run it hard stop to stop
Thanks jrudge for the reply, I’d forgotten about testing also by reverse polarity, hoping to just narrow it down between the course computer or pump ,
