Raymarine wind instruments - cabling.

For some reason I have a load of excess wiring under the deckhead, coming from the Raymarine masthead anemometer and vane. My guess, this is not a tuned-length of cable and can be shortened. Am I right?

I usually get shot down for giving techie advice Ken but here goes anyway , if anyone knows better please step in
Far as I know the output is all analogue so cable length isn't important but if it's a new unit with a plug on the end , when you shorten it you loose any warranty because you've alterred it . But please don't take just my advice on this

It looks as if it's ok to shorten it..... Manual for ST60.
