Hello All.
I have recently installed a Raymarine C80 Multifunction display with GPS and a Furuno FX 300 Navtext. The Furuno has a Data Page which displays GPS data from the C80 over a NMEA connection. The Furuno displays Position, Speed and Course correctly but not Time and Date. Time is certainly available from the C80 because it is displayed on the Raymarine 54E DSC VHF. Furuno have said that it must be the format of Raymarine data and Raymarine have not replied to my question. Has anyone solved this one yet please?

Hi Danny
Thanks for the suggestion. I checked to see if all NMEA sentences were enabled on the C80 and I thought ZDA was one of them but I will check again.

Les, I just had another thought. Are you also trying to display the Navtex messages from the Furuno on the C80? If you configure the C80 to receive Navtex on its NMEA input port then it'll stop sending NMEA 0183 on its output port! (It's the way it's designed)

Afterthought: Probably not your problem as you say the Furuno displays nav data OK - presumably received from the C80?

Thanks Danny. The installer of the Raymarine gear say they have the same problem with another customer and they installed the Raymarine and the Furuno so I am waiting for their solution. (I only installed the Furuno. The raymarine was already there). Will post the solution if I get one.
Regards Les
