Having just launched for the season, motored to the mooring, all systems looked to be in order, so switched everything off and left the boat.
On the next visit, 4 days later, switched all instruments on as usual, but this time one of the two Raymarine ST70 instruments the boat carries appeared not to be on. On closer examination, it was actually on (at certain angles it was possible to make out that the data was showing) but the screen looked as though the instrument was not on. So we know there is power and we know it is getting a signal from the transducers.
Some discussions later there is a body of opinion that the 'backlight' has failed. Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, was there a fix?
