Boat was relaunched today and I asked the yard to check for leaks - this year I cleaned the paddle wheel and put it straight back in, arrow pointing forward. Turns out it was leaking, like a tap just turned on. Was at work when it was relaunched...l.

Looked in book, but there are no wise words there. What have I done wrong (and am a bit embarrassed about it)..?

Thanks

Did the lifting strop push it up into the hull?

If the flow was like a tap, I think you must have not set the transducer down in the keyway, and therefore didn't seat the O rings properly. I have occasionally had a minor weep after refitting: taking it out and putting it back more carefully has always cured it. +1 for the grease on the O rings.

Yes - I did quite a bit of research last night. I think there is also a flap that closes when the transducer is removed stopping some of the water coming in. I think checking O rings, taking more time, application of silicon grease, having the blanking bung ready to hand, and manning up a bit are the answers.
