I have a RL70C with a scratched screen, can I unscrew the front from it's predecessor, RL70, and swap them over. This may be a numpty question as One is B/W the other colour but is the screen just a cover?

There is quite a bit more sticking out the back of the colour version,2"verses 5" I think but the connections are the same.

If you're talking about using the glass from the mono as a replacement for the colour version, it should be ok if they're the same size. However, taking the front off the plotter is quite an operation, with lots of ribbon connectors so approach it with caution. Also beware of stripping threads and screw heads: the screws holding the front to the body are prone to corrosion and not that robust. You'll also need to make sure you get a good seal on reassembly if you are to avoid condensation on the screen. May be easier to try polishing out the scratch.
