raymarine radar problem

I have an E120 display linked to a 2kw scanner, all fine until this year. When I switch it on i get static display for a few seconds, -ie an apparant scan approx 10 deg wide, then nothing. The scanner rotates and there are no error messages.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Nothing much to suggest. Check the conenctions for sure - I had one a while ago which needed the plug into the scanner unit wobbling, but I appreciate yours is up the mast.

Borrowing another e series (they are easy to take out and swap) or even an HSB2 set from a mate would tell you if it's the scanner/cable, or the display. If you suspect software in the display it is very easy to reload it (I did mine last weekend, funnily enough) so you could do that to eliminate software in the e series
