Hopefully someone may the answer to this. I have an ST6000 autopilot interfaced to a C70 plotter. Recently the pilot has started disconnecting and shows an error message 'Current Limit' or sometimes 'Drive Stopped'.

The next day it could be fine for a few hours then without warning it fails again. Has anyone experienced this problem and found a solution?

What does the manual say about these messages?
Could possibly be a poor connection in the high current (actuator/motor feed) area, which is heating up and getting worse as the day goes on.

Check the steering mechanism for mecahincal resistance (stiffness). The message indicates that the motor is drawing too much current when trying to do its job so the system disconnects. It could also be caused by low voltage at the motor due to bad connection in the wiring. Check the voltage at the motor compared with the battery voltage at the the same time.
