I have a raymarine e120 plotter linked to a raystar gps, all has worked fine for 10 years and it has suddenly decided not to fix position.

Looking in the set up, it finds 11 satellites fast so that does not appear to be the problem although it did not find the 12th. Should not be an issue.
i tried a gps rest but got message reset refused.

Any ideas please? Consensus seem to be poor raystar contacts or its dud, but if its got the satellites then that should not be so I would think.

Yep, battery, CR2032 and ten minutes with a small Philips driver. I'd post a link, but I don't know how, search the forum for Fix Lost.

Am I right in that the cable connects via a plug in the base rather than being soldered to the circuit board and therefore that I can remove it to work on it at a bench?

Replaced my battery yesterday. Model 125. Cable has plug to body. PCB has internal plug /skt connection. Battery slides in to holder. 10 mins.:encouragement:
Ps watch the rubber sealing ring, not immediately obvious where it goes.
