Raymarine Linear drive ?

Has anyone ever had one of these to bits ?.


Given the standard Raymarine practise of "no user servicable parts" and a stiff fixed charge, it is worth a look inside.

I suspect the brushes in the motor for a start, but advice from those who have gone before would be welcome.

Thanks for that, not exactly the same, but, gives me hope that it is worth taking apart.

I forgot to mention in my 1st post this was a ST6000 type 1 drive.
