Raymarine instruments syncing

On my last boat the ST50 instruments worked in sync such that when I switched the back lighting on, it activated the back lights on all the others. I now have a mixture of Raymarine I50/60 and one I70s. I believe the I70s is independent of the others as it has it's own on/off switch anyway. However on the I50/60's I have to individually turn the back lights on in turn. Is this normal or do I need to somehow make one a "master". They are on a single STng bus connected also to a RM es plotter.

You need to turn "Group illumination" on - by default it's off. Instructions in the manual.
