Spent all day yesterday learning how to use raymarine auto 6002. Managed to get it to do everything our simrad set up used to do except reverse route & go back home mid route. No problem at end of route but mid route we couldn't make it understand our thinking & it kept going to the next waypoint in route & then doing u-turns. Anyone help ?

Can't say I've ever tried to get mine to reverse route whilst its following a route. I'd suggest you'd probably have to stop goto, then goto route, reverse and follow and keep advancing the waypoint till the line points towards the first waypoint going in the correct direction.

Tried that as well, fine from end of route but if you wish to rejoin route mid point then it no worky. Must be us missing something simples, as you all seem to think it should function as our old simrad set up did. Will go have another play :D

Is theboat diving off course at the point of changing from one way point to the next. I have just had a similar issue which turned out to be the hydrlic steering pressure (Flow Valve) which was aparently wrong from the boat build.

Just a thought as I have just overcome the same.
