Hello,
I have upgraded from a C70 Classic MFD to an E80 Classic (and I wonder why because it is driving me mad, to have input for a camera and a second display option?)
The swap was more painful than I thought as I had to rewire my Seatalk network because the E80 refused to see the Ray 120 GPS unless all the other instruments were turned on as well (it was fine with the C70).
Now I have come across another problem that was not an issue before. Whenever I press the "Display" button on the ST600x autopilot display, just to cycle through COG, SOG, etc. and then I return to the E80 at the chart desk, the E80 displays PILOT with X and can no longer engage the pilot for Track or AUTO. But it still receives data from the SPX 30 pilot like heading or rudder reference. Now this is annoying because the only solution I have found is to power cycle the autopilot, which is not ideal.
Needless to say that everything was working fine with the C70, click any button on the Pilot display, return to the C70 and the Autopilot is still there and can be engaged in either Track or Auto from the MFD.
Does anybody else with an E80 experience the same?
Thank you in advance.
