I read an article in sea Angler magazine, and its sonar capabilities were impressive to say the least. Has anyone come across this system, or anything similar. Its 3d imaging was I Think remarkable...
Do any other manufacturers make anything similar...

Navico's Structurescan would be the obvious one http://www.lowrance.com/en-GB/Products/Sonar/. Don't think it's CHIRP technology but end result seems to be the same. Furuno have some really nice sonar stuff but it's professional really - seriously big bucks, dedicated displays, massive transducers, etc.
