Hi,
I have a Raymarine setup with an Airmar through hull transducer. In the middle of last season I found that as the depth increased the return signal appeared to disappear, so a fairly random depth remained on the display. On returning to shallower water the unit didn't re-acquire the return signal, unless the instruments were powered down for a few seconds and then restarted. On restart the signal was again fine in shallow water, although it's clearly not ideal to have to turn everything off as you come into an anchorage.
Any ideas of what might be causing this problem?
Thanks
Tim W
