Although I am sure this has been asked lots of times, I cannot find an easy to understand answer. Currently our C95 MFD is connected to everything except VHF via a Sea Talk - STng converter. I want to connect the Icom M505 radio (which uses NMEA 0183) to the MFD. Is it as simple as using one of these cables - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Raymarine...ow-/390813154542?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368?

My slight concern is that I cannot find this cable on the Raymarine site...

Thanks in advance

I'm not entirely sure what that ebay item would be. NMEA-0183 to Seatalk-ng conversion involves more than just breaking out two wires from six. Normally you use something like the actisense ngw-1 stng which is quite a lot more money.

If you've got the c95 connected to "everything" via ST-NG, using the NMEA-0183 port on the C95 would probably be more cost effective than another device to do the conversion.

You don't need any extra cable. Your c95 has two NMEA0183 ports, and the wires are already there in the power/data cable. If you download the installation manual from the Raymarine website, it will explain everything.
