Ref my previous post about the anti glare or whatever coming off the screen giving the screen the appearance of being scrubbed with vim (if anyone remembers that)
I had a reply from Raymarine saying 'There were a few units that had this issue' - please send it in for investigation and if found to be faulty they will cover parts and labour to renew window, but not labour to remove and replace or postage. Seems a bit tight for something that was not my fault, I only spent £thousands on fitting out with Raymarine kit .
Not having fitted it, is it just a case of undoing the binnacle casing and unplugging it or do I have to do something clever?

If they have admitted that they have had a number of problems, then I suspect that they are on dodgy ground in trying to charge you anything to bring it back to "Merchantable quality".

To remove it, get hold of a large flat screwdriver and "pop" the front cover off. If you look on the sides you will see some small cutouts where you can insert the screwdriver to do this. once that it off you will see that there are 4 screws in the corners which is all that holds the unit onto your binnacle.

Good luck
