I have been given a Raymarine C80 MFD Part number 5579-001 (I think it is also know as the C80 Classic). It came with Navionics charts on Scandisk Compact Flash drives.

My question is
I have a load of waypoints from my Garmin GPS’s which are also on EASYGPS and would like to load the waypoint data into the C80.

Any clues on how it to go about it?

I did this from Easygps to my C70 plotter. It's not straightforward but this is what I did:

Get the waypoints into a .gpx file from Easygps.
Download and install GPS Babel.
Use GPS Babel to convert the .gpx file to .rwf (Raymarine Waypoint File).
Now get the Raytech Navigator (free version will do).
Use raytech Navigator to convert .rwf to Archive.fsh
Put the Archive.fsh file on your CF card and import your waypoints.

What could be simpler?

Thanks for the info, as you say, not straight forward but I now some clues on how to go about it and what I will need.

It also looks as though I am going to have to get hold of a CF Card reader or [h=1]Micro-SD to CF Card Adapter of some sort.[/h]
This should be easy to do in Guatemala!!!!

Thanks again
