Raymarine C70 screen gone wonky

Has anyone had this. It was working fine then just noticed the screen has vertical lines, no image just different coloured lines!!
Is it knackered? Shame such a good unit.

Very common problem, culprit is a ribbon cable connecting screen to circuit board inside. First try gently tapping/pushing the corners of the screen. If this doesn't do it you can usually cure it by dismantling and removing and replacing the ribbon connector to the screen. You have to break the 'warranty void if removed' seal but it's certainly long long out of warranty. Once it has happened it tends to recur again after a few years/months/weeks, but usually fixable again the same way.

We had the same problem. After battling to keep it going we eventually change to an Es75, which once you get used to the changes is a far superior MFD.

Probably worth a squirt and wipe off of contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol (IPA) as well, both ribbon contacts and socket.
