My Raymarine C70 loses depth at much over 16 knots (so planing speeds). Is there any settings worth fiddling with or is this a transducer thing? Just wondering if anyone else had had the same problem?

I suspect you're right - just a long shot in case someone had experienced it and found it was a settings issue. I had a look in the Book of Words but couldn't find anything.

I found a setting to do with signal frequency, but it's on auto so you'd hope if it failed to get a reading on one setting, it'd automatically try another.

Has the transducer been replaced at any time.?
Chap moored behind me,had a complete electronics refit updating his old RL80 system for the latest kit.
Everything was replaced including the sounder unit although this was refitted in the same location. The entire refit was recommended and installed by local Raymarine agent.
The signal was lost over certain speed and the local man failed to sort the problem so Raymarine experts were called in.
It turned out the wrong sounder was fitted, something to with beam width or somesuch.
