Raymarine C70 & 343

Thanks to those who replied to my original post a few weeks ago on this subject. I did try to search for the original thread but the YBW search engine seems to have gone "tXts-up" today!!!
Anyway I have bought and fitted the C70 and, as I was assured by a couple of replies, the C70 does fit into the console at the wheel of the Ben 343 with no problem - I was concerned about the depth. I am now a happy bunny with AIS at the wheel position and with a back-up cartography and AIS on the Laptop down below.

P.S. there are some excellent deals around at the moment for C70/ Raystar 125/ 54E VHF packages!!! (JG Tech, Cactusnav being a couple of sources).

What AIS did you connect - was it the very expensive raymarine one or one of the cheaper AIS engines?

One of the cheaper ones, Easy-Ais. Works fine. Was disappointed with the Raymarine one as it didn't have a Seatalk output.
