Hi,

I've bought a boat and it has a raymarine C120 (2006 model) installed.

I shelled out for the 'Platinum' navionics card, however I cannot get the C120 to show 3d charts.
I've been through every menu and it simply is not mentioned anywhere.

Does the C120 actually support 3d charts or do you need the newer C120w to do this?

Thanks
Simon

This function is not available on the C120 classic, the new C120 w is based on the original E120, I have used 3 d but prefer the 2 d charts, have found 3 d to slow things up.

Hi,

Thanks for all the responses. That's a shame!
Although - like Martin's post above, the general consensus seems to be that i'm not missing much.

Many Thanks
Simon

so get a load of data compiled by lead line in the 1920s
send it to italy
give it to a woman on minimum wage, who's never seen a boat, and ask her to transpose it to digits then......

sell it on a little card for hundreds of pounds
display it on a screen costing thousands
people are bound to believe it coz it was expensive

then display it in 3D!!

that will make it more accurate then won't it?

the bloke with the leadline would be bemused.

loada nonsense.

Simon, I am considering buying platinum to go with my C120w and wonder if the other "platinum features" (satellite images and coast pilot) will work. What have you found?

Thanks,

Kevin
