My unit seems to have gone faulty (nothing happens) when pluged into cockpit power. !2 Volts available but no lights, nothing when connected. Does it cost an arm and a to get Raymarine HQ at Portsmouth to check it out. Anyone got any test suggestions or experience of this problem? Russ

IIRC it is a minimum of about £40, but they are happy yo work to a ceiling figure and not go above it unless they have contacted you

If you get 12v at the socket and no LED then it could be as simple as dirty connections between the plug and socket. I usually get this at the start of every season and a quick clean does the trick.

There is certain make of so called marine quality plug and socket which will give a 12 volt reading with a meter, and yet will deliver no amps so nothing works. I have had problems with autohelm, solar panels and 10 watt stern light with these connectors, and even cleaning them up does not always work.
Before you shell out for a repair, I would connect it directly across a good clean 12 volt source to see what happens
