Raymarine antenna not turning message

Radome driving into classic e series. Worked for about 5 minutes then this recurring error. After each error message unit goes into warming up sequence and then immediately gives the message. I realise this is probably what it says with some sort of mechanical issue. Any thoughts on what else it could be and possible fixes.

I don’t know for sure but I assume it says that when it doesn’t see a train of pulses on the azimuth line. So that could be because the scanner really isn’t turning or because the azimuth wire in the cable (or pins in plugs, etc) isn’t properly connected. My money would be on the former, though it wouldn’t hurt to have a quick check of the cabling first if the radome is difficult to get to.

The radar diagnostic menu should give some more information.

This needs to be run first.. Could show connectivity problem.. If the scanner is actually turning then it could even be a fault with the rotation sensor (a small led type transmitter and receiver either side of a drum with a slot cut in it that's on the underside of the rotating part).

when mine did that it turned out to be the drive belt slipping
