Raymarine 6000+ Autopilot Mystery .

Found the course computor with a long connector strip.
Autohelm 100.
Have spotted the 5/6 wires going to the connections marked as "Fluxgate " .
It, however, after a couple of feet vanishes into a nightmare of other cabling.
Best could achieve with camera phone.

As a last resort reinstalled the old RL 70 connected power/seatalk/ Hsb, but when trying to set up the heading comes up with
"No Compass... on the RL70 display .
May be a bit late, but why do the Screen? and Red (Brown) wire appear to be in the same connection?
Edit:- perhaps it is the photo angle think I can see they are OK.

Suspect the original fluxgate lead has been extended with some non standard colour wires.
Have disconnected the duff unit wiring and labelled it up as DUFF.
It might help a future owner.🤣
Going to connect the replacement fluxgate check it works and only then find a home for it.

All sorted. old Fluxgate had failed.
Replaced and now everything working now as it should.
Boat is even heading in the right direction on the chartplotter screen.
Able to swing compass to sort deviation and to align fluxgate heading with boat compass.
:)
Remarkable spread of prices for secondhand Raymarine Fluxgates between £295 and £30.00 for identical units. ?
