Raymarine 230E VHF/DSC modular radio

I am considering buying one of these, if only so that I can use the Seatalk function with GPS.

Does anyone have any first hand experiences of this set particularly as to user friendliness and whether it has any annoying or unacceptable glitches

An obvious glitch, as I found out,

Make sure you enter the correct DSC number, it will not turn on without it. The wrong number will require a manufaacturer reset.

Do you mean that the instrument can identify an incorrect user's MMSI number?

Oh! Now the wine effects have worn off I see what is meant.

You get only one user attempt to input a number, or back to Ray. to start again.

Well I've bought one, so I shall certainly be careful and thanks for the warning
