The screen on my Raymarine chart plotter has an anti glare surface, is it possible to remove this and reapply a new one as the surface is quite marked?

I've got the same problem. Initially didn't realise the screen had a coating so tried to clean it using a propriety glass cleaner and found it was actually taking the coating off.
I've bought an anti-glare film from Amazon which has been sitting on the boat for a few months and you've just reminded me it should be on my to-do list. We're off down there tomorrow and I'll give it a go and post here how it goes.
I seem to remember it is possible to re-coat but a bit of a pain and expensive as you've got to send the unit away. Maybe someone here knows better just in case my theory about using the film doesn't work.
