Ray marine st4000 sea talk and nmea

I asked a question related to this earlier about st4000 accepting two lots of nmea data from the gps and a wind transducer but the answer was no unless you had a splitter or switch of some kind. However will an st4000 accept sea talk data and nmea data at the same time or will this cause a problem too. Sorry if this covered elsewhere but I couldn't find an answer. Cheers

The ST4000 operating manual says that if more than one NMEA connection is required, the 2nd. one must be connected to the Seatalk system by means of a Raymarine bridge.This seems to indicate that both inputs can function at the same .time

If you mean nmea data on the nmea input and seatalk data on the St input at the same time, then yes. If you don't have seatalk data then you will need a bridge.
